SEO TIP: Make Effective Use Of Your Page Title
Google likes variety, and one really good way to make sure it gets that is to make every page title on your site unique!
The page title is up in the upper left hand corner of your browser, and it's the text your customers see when they bookmark your site. Building a proper title also helps potential customers find your site using Google, Yahoo!, and other search engines.
Start your page title by listing what you want to be found for. In our case, that's Web Design and Marketing. We follow that up with our selected industries - auto dealers and other sales organizations. We offer our services all over the country, so we don't include the city and state; however, if you do business locally, put that info in your title! And unless yours is a household name, your company name shouldn't come first, unless that's what people search by.
